Local Musician Michael Kalinda, also known as Ziggy Wine succumbed to injuries at Mulago Hospital on Sunday night. According to reports, Ziggy Wine was kidnapped, beaten and left battling for his life a few weeks ago.
It is also reported that Ziggy was on Friday evening found in a devastating state with his eye plucked out and two of his fingers cut off.
But Police investigations have quashed these allegations.
Addressing the press this afternoon, Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga said Ziggy was involved in an accident on July 21, 2019.

He also revealed that police have recovered the motorcycle that caused the accident.
“But the number plate and a few other parts had gone off. The number plate was recovered later. The exhibit of the motorcycle is with us and it has several dents on the right-hand side because the victim fell on its right-hand side,” he said.
Yesterday, Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine issued a statement saying such atrocities, like the ones committed against his comrade, would not deter them from struggling for political change.
