The profile of Uganda’s renowned model scout, Joram Job Muzira, keeps growing every other day.
The latest news coming in is that Muzira will be a co-director and co-producer for the fashion shows at the Uganda North American Association (UNAA) Causes in New York.
UNAA is the largest non-political formal association of Ugandans in the diaspora with an aim of promoting the social, cultural and economic development of the Ugandan community in North America and beyond.
“This is the second time in a row I am part of the team. I am excited to do what I love the most as well as embracing the opportunity to market my country to the fullest,” Muzira says.
That fashion show will take place on Sunday, September 1 and some of Muzira’s roles will include choreography, model management, flow and scripting of the show, among other responsibilities.
Stacie Lagum Aamito, a Ugandan supermodel now based in Newyork will be headlining the show. Some of the Ugandan designers and stylists expected to show up include Santa Anzo of Arapapa Fashion House, Brian Ahumuza of the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFAs), and Abbas Kaijuka of Kai’s Divo collection.
Muzira is dubbed as the biggest fashion scout for identifying a number of Ugandan models who are now internationally based.
Besides Aamito, Muzira who is the founder of Joram Model Management (JMM) has also scouted the likes of Patricia Akello, Paul Mwesigwa, Veronica Ayak, Joy Winnie Aketch, among others.
