94 Terror scoops 6 awards at Ghana’s Golden Movie Awards Africa

Ugandan film on Rwanda genocide that received 18 nominations at the 2019 Golden Movie Awards Africa (GMAA) was last night decorated with 6 awards in Ghana. The film was awarded for the best costume, Make-up, Best art director, screen-play drama, Discovery actor and best director.

The film that was released last year was competing with other continental films like ‘Azali’ that also received 18 nominations. In other competitive categories, five legends of the African film industry; Jackie Appiah, Nadia Buari, Abdul Salam Mumuni, Roger Quartey and Van Vicker were also honored and inducted into the Golden Movie Walk of Fame.

Ghanaian film ‘Azali’ won the biggest award for the night, the overall Golden Movie award and also won two awards for Golden Movie Drama and Golden Indigenous Movie. Recently, 94 terror film that directed by local producer Richard Mulindwa was decorated at The African Film Festival (TAFF) award night in Dallas- Texas USA as it walked away with the best costume award in the 2019 TAFF festival.

94 Terror joins a list of other Ugandan films like ‘The Forbidden’ among others that have participated in these awards before.
