Anitah when she was still the Diva

Singer Anita Tushabe also known as Anitah Da Diva, Ugandan dancehall artiste who was one of the biggest new female dancehall artistes but vanished shortly after she graduated from Makerere and got married to a one Meddie Katongole, is in tears over her marriage. It is said that because of her marriage to Katongole with whom they have one child, that Anitah’s music career went to the Dogs.

A few days ago, the faded singer open up to the public about being tortured by her lover. The relationship which deterred her from going on with her music career has been doing well until recently when fights with her husband started but as sweethearts, they fight and kiss.

The singer decided to bow out of the relationship after a night out with her boyfriend last Saturday at La Paroni’s a hangout located on Parliamentary Avenue. During that night, Anitah had attended a video premiere of singer Prince Omar. Many were surprised to see her at La Paroni’s because she was one of the rear faces ever since she vanished from the music industry.

The faded singer cries out

According to Anitah, they were both drunkard and high on narcotics but the man was angered over what she didn’t want to say and ended up beating her. “I have been under the influence of drugs but I promise my fans that I will stop using drugs and come back to the music industry,” Anitah said.

Fellow artistes like Ronald Mayinja and Catherine Kusasira have come out to advise the singer on how to handle relationship issues. According to Mayinja he advises she follows her heart and chooses what her she wants to do most in her life right now.

Kusaira advises the Diva to sit and think if she is in the right palce with the right person and if not, she should let go. She goes on to say we shouldn’t just be with someone because of love but rather have another reason other than love.

Anitah who was part of the girl group called Dream Girls comprised of Renah Nalumansi and Leila Kayondo is currently willing to drop the drugs and start afresh in the music industry if someone helps her out. She is also looking for justice to get back the money she gave him for a car she bought from him but was later taken by him as well as the money she contributed on building the house from Katongole because she is tired of the torture.
