Celebrated emcee, TV personality and music promoter Edwin Katamba commonly known as Mc Kats is not among the people who are ready to support Mr Paul Mutabazi alias Fresh Daddy’s music career.
Kats showed his side last evening at Wave Lounge in Kololo where Fresh Daddy had gone to promote his ‘Mazike’ song in the company of Kalifah Aganaga who is his acting manager.
Aganaga who thinks is established in the Ugandan music industry decided to step on stage and order DJ Atah who was on stage at that time to play his artiste’s new song ‘Mazike’. A furious MC Kats came from nowhere grabbed the Mic and said that it was not time for comedy.
He vowed to fight tooth and nail to see to it that Fresh Daddy doesn’t move on with his messy music in the industry advising him to join comedy or accompany his manager, Khalifah Aganaga in politics.
MC Kats believes as they fight to secure the copyright law in the local entertainment industry, they don’t need jokers like Fresh Kid’s dad to mess up the industry, an industry they have built for so long.
“We are busy trying to fight for the copyright law in Parliament and you guys are here messing with the music industry” Mc Kats added. He also warned Khalifah Aganaga saying if he wants to fight with them then he should also go ahead because they don’t lose anything by deleting all his music.
On the other hand, DJ Fikie who introduced Fresh Kid on the music scene has stood in defense of Fresh Kid’s father. He went to social media and posted “EVERYONE DESERVES A CHANCE OMUSAJJA MUMULEKE.”
While so many people thought he was a joke when he dropped the ‘Mazike’ song, Fresh Daddy is currently the real deal in the showbiz industry as he is getting some money from the several gigs he is being booked for.
