Promoter Balaam sides with Fresh Kid’s father

The whole Fresh Kid international gig saga has involved many people mostly on social media. This started when Fresh Kid’s father Mr Paul Mutabazi said he will have to travel alongside his son. Many say he has no right to travel with the son and others say since he is the father of the child, why let him go and perform without his father on the side.

This got to Promoter Balaam Barugahare who a week ago called Fresh Kid, the father, Manager Francis and the songwriter 14K Bwongo in a meeting. The meeting was for the Promoter of the event to sign an agreement which allows Fresh Kid’s father to travel with the team to the US.

Manager Francis, according to our source had agreed to sign the agreement with Balaam but later learnt that it might be a fake deal that will see them losing the management of Fresh Kid to Balaam so they decided to leave Balaam’s office in disagreement of singing the documents.

This left Balaam branding them as people who never went to school because they don’t know the rights that Mutabazi, fresh Kid’s father should have because even though he is not the one who brought Fresh Kid to stardom but he brought him to the world.

Balaam who later learnt that Ministry of Gender, Labour and social development is planning to give the Management of Fresh Kid a go-ahead to perform in the US without his father is not happy about it. He has come out and threatened the Ministry if they fail to respect Mr Mutabazi’s rights as the singer’s father.
