Mama Fina rescues deceased victim’s family

Mama Fina

It’s been a week since Sylvia Namutebi popularly known as Mama Fina was involved in an internet scandal after a video of her dancing with motor-mouthed blogger Raymond Soulfa aka Peng Peng in her rented apartment in Sweden where she had gone for a visit went viral.

Mama Fina addressed the situation in another video saying she was just having fun and claimed that people will always notice your bad deeds no matter how many good things you do. Mama Fina’s statement could have turned to reality as she recently did a good thing that almost no one cared to notice.

Earlier this week, Frank Ananiya, one of the victims of an attack on a hardware store in Nansana, Wakiso district on the 29th of May that left two people dead and two injured passed on at Mulago hospital making the number equate to four as the other person that was injured passed on a while after the attack. Ananiya was transferred to Mulago hospital after his bill at Nakasero hospital kept on increasing and the family couldn’t afford it any more.  When Ananiya passed on from Mulago hospital, the bill was 2.7 million that the Uganda Police Defence Force (UPDF) promised to clear.

Ananiya’s body was reportedly held at the mortuary because of the outstanding medical bills and the relatives resorted to asking residents of Nansana municipality to contribute some money to help release the body until a Good Samaritan, Mama Fina, came to their rescue later in the day and contributed 3 million to clear the remaining bill balance, buy a coffin and transport the body home. According to Mama Fina, she says, “I wonder what the ministry for disaster preparedness could be doing in such a situation.”

Mama Fina didn’t stop at that, a few days ago she injected 13 million Uganda shillings into Fresh Kid’s fathe’s business to help him boast it so that he doesn’t over depend on his son. Mama Fina went ahead and sponsored his air ticket to London.

This is just one of the many good things that Mama Fina has done for many people in and out of Uganda for the past years.
