Noreen Nalubega, the woman who a week ago claimed that singer Geosteady had sired a child with her and abandoned her has retracted her claims after police investigated her case.
On bended knees, Nalubega begged Geosteady to forgive her for ruining his reputation with her lies.
“I would like to ask for forgiveness. Geosteady, I beg you to forgive me for all that I have put you through. I did not want anything from you. I just wanted support from the father of my child. But that father is not Geosteady,” she pleaded.
As they waited for DNA test results yesterday, the case took a new twist, when police found out that the number of the person Nalubega claimed was for Geosteady belonged to another man who is the actual father of her child.
Addressing the press yesterday, Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Patrick Onyango, said, “We asked Nalubega to give us the phone number which she says belongs to Geosteady. When we called the number, we found it belonged to a man called Nyanzi Mukasa Joshua.”
“We asked him if he knew Nalubega and he said they have a child together and he supports her.”
Asked whether with the new revelation police would still go ahead with the DNA tests, Onyango said the new ‘father’, Nyanzi would also be subjected to a DNA test.
According to Onyango, Nyanzi also brought evidence that he had been taking care of the child.
Nalubega has been arrested for giving police false information.
