Local musician Angella Katatumba has sued Chicken Tonight, a chain of fast food restaurants, and its three employees for allegedly assaulting her.

In her suit filed to High Court in Kampala, Ms Katatumba says that on April 1, 2018, three Chicken Tonight employees at Kabalagala Branch assaulted her and forcefully evicted her from their premises where she had gone to buy food.

She contends that two of the employees assaulted her under the supervision of Rogers Olubworth Choka by kicking her, which resulted in humiliation, physiological torture, trauma and bodily injuries.

Ms Katatumba says medical examination indicated that she had suffered from grievous bodily harm before she was referred to International Hospital Kampala where she was diagnosed with a post-concussion syndrome which requires her to visit the doctor monthly for a period of two years.

She now wants Shs600 million in compensation.

The case has been allocated to Justice Lydia Mugambe who has given Chicken Tonight Restaurant only 15 days within which to file their defence.
