World music artiste Joel Sebunjo is over the moon following his latest endorsement, which will see him perform at the upcoming African Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon later this year.
Sebunjo, arguably one of Uganda’s most recognised folk music artistes, is expected to perform at the opening ceremony of Afcon alongside six other artistes from across Africa. We have learnt that Sebunjo was contacted by Live Nation Label who sought for a unifying song, All Rise, that looks at most African cultures and particularly world music artistes.
Sebunjo will perform alongside Asa, Youssou Ndour, Cheick Amadou Tidiane Seck, Baaba Maal and Femi Kuti.
“This is a great milestone for me. Being on the same project with legendary musicians is an honour and this song is really awesome,” Sebunjo said. Sebunjo will be the second Ugandan artistes to perform at Afcon after Eddy Kenzo.
