Irene Ntale to perform at world’ concert in USA

At least 35 renowned African artists will be sharing a stage over three days at the SXSW festival. Irene Ntale will be representing Uganda at the annual ‘Africa to the world’ concert in the Colorado United States.

She will be rubbing shoulders and sharing the stage with Kenyan singing group Sauti Sol, Eazi and Yemi Alade.

“I feel honoured and grateful for having been chosen from Uganda to perform and also excited to be playing with the best Nigerian band (alternate sound band),” Irene Ntale told Sqoop website.

The concert is on this Thursday at Highland Lounge, on plot 404 in Colorado, St. Austin. Revellers will be parting with US$15 for tickets on each of the three nights.

The SXSW, or South by Southwest is an annual conglomerate of film, interactive media, and music festivals and conferences that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas, United States. It began in 1987 and has continued to grow in both scope and size every year.

Other artists on the line-up include Adekunle Gold, Alternative Sound, Anatii, Aramide, Blinky Bill, Cassper Nyovest, DJ Kess, Falz, Jojo Abot, Kagwe Mungai, Khaligraph Jones, King Kaka, Kofi Black, mayorkun, Phy, Salma Sky, Samini, Seyi Shay, Shirazee, Simi, Stanley Enow, Tribal Urban Hype, Vector and Victoria Kimani.
