The Facebook account of a Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (Jkuat) graduate has been deleted, hours after he had posted a suicide alert.
In a message posted on social media, Alfred Kibet Kirui directed that his transcript (which he also posted) be framed in place of his photo and placed on the coffin.

The former Bachelor of Science in Soil, Water and Environmental Engineering student’s suicide alert was prompted by an apparent disappointment with his university education after scoring a second class lower degree.
“I might not be as proud but it has my name but it has my name. When I die, put it in a frame and replace it as my pic in the coffin. That is my wish. Bye,” Kirui’s social media post read.
Minutes earlier he had written, “Before I die, a university degree is just a piece of paper.”
He posted four cryptic updates, the last one being a picture of him in his graduation gown captioned, “Say whatever you want I do not….”
