Between 7:00pm and midnight today, the new Nile Bridge will be filly lit in red color. Being Valentine’s day, couples are likely to camp at the bridge. Some men might even propose to their women.
But as they make their plans and hope to do all they want, the Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) has a message for them.
“VALENTINE’S DAY ALERT! The Source Of The Nile Bridge will be fully lit in red tonight, between 7pm and Midnight. Lovebirds taking walks, pictures, proposing and all the like are asked to watch out for their safety, and to not litter the bridge please. Enjoy the day,” Mark Ssali, the Head of Communication at UNRA said in a tweet.
You read that, right? Just in case you were planning to decorate and throw petals, you might want to save your money.
Happy Valentine’s day lovers!
