Organisers speak out ahead of Burna Boy concert in Uganda

Nigerian Singer Damini Ongulu known to many as Burna Boy will be performing in Uganda for the second time on March 22. The ‘On the low’ hitmaker first performed at Namboole stadium during the Club MegaFest event in 2014. Next month, he will be performing at Sheraton Kampala Hotel gardens, as part of his worldwide music tour.

Organised by Malembe and Kasana in partnership with the newly launched Smirnoff Ice Green Apple, the show will be Burna Boy’s first stop.

Speaking at the media briefing, Uganda Breweries’ International Premium Spirits Brand Manager, Roger Agamba remarked, “Burna Boy’s music enjoys massive airplay on the entertainment and party scene. His fresh and catchy vibe has captured the hearts of music lovers and we are committed to ensuring we deliver an exciting and fresh experience. We are confident that his concert will be a memorable experience for his huge fan base here in Uganda.”

Burna Boy is known for songs like On the Low, Gbona, Ye, Giddem, Like to Party and Miss You Bad among others. Tickets to the event cost Shs100,000 for VIP and General will go for Shs50,000.
