“Sometimes in my life, I feel that I may have
Everything I need
But deep down inside of me, my heart is empty
Girl can’t you see…..” these are some of the lines from the American group Midnight Star’s 1986 Searching for Love song.
What started as a joke for a 25-year-old former Makerere guild contestant has earned him a celebrity status at campus.
As he was typing his Whatsapp number in the comment section of a picture posted by City socialite Dorothy Shonga, Henry Turyasingura, a final year student of Bachelor of Environmental Science, says he thought it was just a joke.
Little did he know that his comment and Whatsapp number would go viral attracting both sympathy and negative criticism from social media users.
One of the social media users, @DhabonaJob on Saturday exposed Henry’s comment on Twitter, attracting mixed reactions from social media users.
“Meanwhile someone is offering true love in the village,” @DhabonaJob posted.

However, when contacted, Henry who already has a girlfriend told this publication that he’s seen the reactions on social media but is yet to receive a response from the girl he sent his Whatsapp number.
“I was just making a joke by typing my number in the comment section. Little did I know that my comment would go viral. I already have a girlfriend. I think she (girlfriend) has not yet seen the comment. Dorothy has not yet responded but people are already making fun of it,” he said.
