When Hellen Lukoma showed off her engagement ring a few months ago, we brushed it off as banter. Oh well, you can’t blame us entirely, for she used the moment to promote her song ‘Umbrella.’
A caption on a photo on her Instagram page read, ““God has been good to me. Am always down on my knees thanking him. Thank u or lord. You saved me from my self. Pink coconut on the décor, Mr A on the ring.”
The post raised speculation among her fans, most of who suggested that she was dating her manager Mr Anwar Kaka.
Lukoma later shared photos of a house and said it was a birthday gift; however info we later got was that he mansion belonged to Mr Kaka.
Sources said the two had been dating for over a year, and met when singer Alvin Kizz took Lukoma to CAN Music, a music group that has another young dancehall artiste called Ratigan. Lukoma, however refuted all the claims that she is dating her manager, saying it is strictly business.
But the cat is now out of the bag. It wasn’t just business, there was more. The couple sealed their ‘business’ pact in a traditional introduction ceremony yesterday. Lukoma introduced Mr Kaka to her family, the beginning of a journey to marriage.
