I deserved the AFRIMA award, not Bebe Cool – A Pass

Singer Bebe Cool shocked many when he bagged the Best East African Male Artist award in the 5th All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) 2018 held in Accra Ghana on Saturday night.

His win came as a surprise since many Ugandans had vowed not to vote for him and instead give their votes to Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz. Reason being, he didn’t support Bobi Wine’s People Power movement.

Screenshots shared on social media days to the event showed that indeed Zari’s ex beau was in the lead (although we could not verify from which source the screen shots were gotten from). Of course one of Bebe Cool’s biggest ‘haters’, fellow singer A Pass, was over the moon that the Kabulengane singer was coming back home empty handed.

So you can imagine the shock when Bebe Cool actually won the award. Although the boat cruise tragedy stole Bebe Cool’s time to shine, A Pass is not satisfied. The Mummy singer yesterday night posted on social media that the award went to the wrong person and that Bebe Cool did not deserve it.
“Congratulations to Bebe Cool for winning the Afrima award the only problem is that he doesn’t deserve it and I do, this year am the one with the hits in East and central Africa, Bebe’s hit song is called no song,” A Pass posted.

He went further to say that Bebe Cool should deliver the award to him the minute he lands in Uganda.
“My friend when you land in Uganda ?? please bring my award immediately. The whole of Uganda knows that’s my Award But for now let me go and shoot the video for Guli Wano because the fans are crying for it,” the chaotic social media addict said.

Well Bebe Cool, it’s your time to shoot. We are waiting.
