A day after president Yoweri Museveni said he would attend his August 3rd concert at the Kololo Airstrip, Singer Moses Ssali alias Bebe Cool has said government has the potential to support the economy through taxation of musicians.
In a post on his official Facebook page, Bebe Cool said that the president’s pledge to attend his concert is confirmation that the entertainment industry is worth recognising and organising.
“This is testimony that government recognises that the entertainment industry has created lots of jobs for talented Ugandans and has a lot of potential to support our economy through taxation of individuals employed by this sector,” the statement reads in part.
He further encouraged youth to carefully choose who they associate and work with, for it determines their success or failure in life.
“This is proof that when you work with the president, he will work with you too,” he said.
