Two weeks ago, Prophet Elvis Mbonye’s two year contract with Kyadondo Rugby Grounds ended. The contract was for Mbonye’s Zoe Fellowship ministries to hold their weekly player meetings after they moved from Kololo.
When the contract ended, Prophet Mbonye didn’t go ahead to renew it but decided to move to a bigger venue which is Cricket Oval located just a few metres from Kyadondo.
It so happened that during the second week of the two year contract that the Prophet had signed to hold the player meetings every Tuesday at Cricket Oval, there was an earlier heavy down pour that stopped towards the time for prayers which is 6:30pm and as usual, the followers came in big numbers despite the wet and slippery grounds.
The following day, the Oval was all messed up and this called for attention from the authorities who decided that Mbonye’s money be refunded and he leaves the venue with immediate effect.
He left the venue and a few days to Tuesday, he went to his social media and announced that the fellowship will temporarily go back to Kyadondo Rugby Grounds.

“We are temporarily changing venue for tomorrows’ Zoe Fellowship. It’ll be at KYADONDO RUGBY GROUNDS, as we delve further in things no eye has seen yet! Remember, “…sit at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool” – Psalms 110:1” Prophet Mbonye wrote.
Last evening, a huge number of followers descended to Kyadondo for another edition of the Zoe Fellowship and thank God Kyadondo which was supposed to live in the history of the venues for the fellowship welcomed him and the fellowship went on smoothly.
We are yet to find out if Mbonye will work it out and go back to Cricket Oval or he will renew his contract with Kyadondo Rugby Grounds.
