Relatives and fans of singer Mowzey Radio who died in February 2018, have stormed Entebbe Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday demanding for justice to prevail in a case in which one suspect is on trial for his murder.
They claim that Godfrey Wamala alias Troy who is on trial over the singer’s murder, is not the killer.
They want one Pamela Musiimire and Producer David Ebangit Washington to be arrested and prosecuted because they were the last people to be seen with Mowzey before he died.
Holding placards, the group, clad in black T-shirts, were led by Mowzey’s mother Jane Kasuubo.
They said their demonstration was triggered by the continued court adjournment of the case on grounds that prosecutions led by Mackbeth Agumenaitwe is still carrying out its inquiries.
Wamala appeared before Chief Magistrate, Ms Mary Kaitesi Lukwago on Wednesday but was further remanded to Kigo prison until June 18, 2018 as inquiries into the case continue. But this did not surprise fans and relatives of the deceased singer.
Mowzey died of head injuries at Case Hospital where he had been admitted after he was beaten on February 1, 2018, following a brawl at De Bar, a popular hangout in Entebbe town.
