Self proclaimed heavy weight music doctor Joseph Mayanja alias Jose Chameleone is in a shock of his life after a show on which he was supposed to perform in the UK flopped completely.
The singer was due to perform at the Royal Regency Hall in London during the after part of he Uganda Youth Convention UK which was organized by a one Samuel Yiga Joel.
However, when the singer showed up to perform, there was hardly anyone in the audience save for the chairs staring at him and a few busy people on the organising committee.
The singer then lost his cool and vowed not to sing to an empty room.
Social Media entertainment commentator, Raymond Soulfa alias Peng Peng took time to chide the singer whom he accused of losing a huge fan base in the UK.
“This (the flop) is totally heartbreaking, I don’t blame Jose Chameleone for refusing to sing but I also feel bad for organisers,” he said.
Another social media commentator, Kakensa said Chameleone’s undoing was Nigerian Singer Wiz Kid who had a concert in London on the same date, heavily encroaching on Chameleone’s would have been audience.
Kakensa also insinuated that the choice of artiste was wrong for the organisers, as Chameleone does not attract a specific fan base like his colleagues Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine.
“I am just shocked to see that even the Leon Island forever fans in London were nowhere to be seen. That takes you Dr Chameleone back to the drawing board to re-brand & build a new fan base like the one you had before. Bobi Wine meets his loyal fans in Busabala, Bebe Cool meets his in Kiwatule and how about you Chameleone? Get a permanent place like your brothers above to rebuild your brand with a big fan base,” he said.
Meanwhile, Jose Chameleone should be performing at the upcoming UNAA convention in Seattle, it leaves a lot to tell if the artiste will manage to pull a reasonable crowd with the following the UK shock.
