Nicki Minaj and Eminem
Rapper Nicki Minaj’s love life is becoming one that is hard to keep track of. From Safaree, Meek Mill, Nas to the most unexpected of them all, Eminem, the slim shaddy.
The rapper yesterday shocked fans when she said that she was dating 90’s star, Eminem, real names Marshall Mothers. This was in response to a fan who asked her if she was dating Eminem now. The Super Bass hitmaker replied “Yes” and instantly sent the gossip mill spinning.
As Billboard points out, several of Minaj’s recent lyrics have alluded to a relationship with Slim Shady. “I’m still fly, just bagged a white guy,” she raps on “Barbie Tingz”. She gets even more specific on her new collaboration with YG, “Big Bank”, which hears her spit, “Told them I met Slim Shady, bag the Em/ Once he go black, he’ll be back again.”
While Minaj is most likely joking about dating Eminem, as she is known to be friendly with her fans on social media, Shady also joined in on the fun and added more fuel to the fire. “@nickiminaj girl you know it’s true…,” the Detroit rapper wrote. “@eminem babe I thought we were gonna keep it on the low til the wedding,” Minaj added. “Yikes. “I’ll talk to you when I get home.”
While a relationship between the two isn’t confirmed, they have worked together in the past, collaborating on the 2010 song “Roman’s Revenge,” which was featured on Minaj’s debut album, Pink Friday.
Earlier this year, Minaj called things off with her ex-boyfriend Nas, bringing an end to their short-lived relationship. The New York rappers began dating around June 2017, calling it quits in January.
