Fashion tips with Gloria Haguma

Wear your boots like a pro: The ladies always say a man’s shoes say a lot about him and there is no better way to make a statement than a pair of boots. However, how you wear them also matters.

There is something irresistibly hot about a man in boots; especially if they are wearing them right.

So in case you were wondering what to add to your shoe collection, think along the lines of ankle length, biker boots or even the Chelsea boots. And with this style guide on how to pull off the most impeccable boots looks, you will be turning lots of heads and winning hearts after this.

First, you need a casual style pair of boots that work with your skinny jeans and cropped pants. You can, for instance, pair your ankle boots with a pair of distressed skinnies, a slogan tee and add a bomber jacket to complete the look. These are made to go right above your ankle, so they will also work well with your cropped pants.

If you are the kind that loves laces on your shoes, then you can try out the lace up boots. These are actually a great idea, because they will work for your casual and smart formal looks. You can, for instance, have your print suit, add a dress shirt and complete the look with your lace up boots. Add a scarf or some jacket pins for the perfect accessories to complete.

My personal favourite is the Chelsea boots. Not only can these boots be worn on anything from jeans to dress pants, they are very haute! Pick out a colour that works for you, and wear this with your jeans and Oxford shirt. You can choose to have the hems of your pants go over the boots or have them smartly tucked inside the boots.
Or have it on your navy blue suit and printed shirt. Or you can choose your Chelsea boots in a brown shade, add a pair of skinny jeans, and add an over coat in the same shade as your boots.

Always ensure that whichever pair of boots you choose complements your outfit well. And always keep your boots clean. Do not be deceived that keeping your boots dirty gives you a rugged look; it is a big turn off!
