Socialite Cameron Gitawo comes from a money-spending group known as TMT (The Money Team).

TMT is well known for its members like Meddie Ssentongo and Katsha Da Bank. These are known for coming into the country at the end of the year in summer, a reason they are known in Luganda as Basummer.

Before the year 2017 came to an end, there was a change of plans on Gitawo’s side and he is planning a sports event in the country. Gitawo has come together with Roy Mubiru, a power lifter who is a Ugandan living and working in America.

The duo will hold an event known as the RM Power Lifting Championship and Cross Fit where winners in different categories will be awarded with cash prizes that count to Shs20M and medals among others.

The event will take place at Kabira Country Club in Bukoto this Saturday.

According to sources, Gitawo doesn’t know much about the sport but because he likes to support people with a good cause, he decided to inject money in the event and sign a three-year working company with RM (Roy Mubiru).

For starters, Roy Mubiru is a Champion in Power lifting, having started his career in Uganda before moving to South Africa where he is based.
