Bryan White says his life has been complicated by some people who are after him because of his money.

The socialite, together with Prophet Elvis Mbonye and pastor Kakande, was listed among the people that have huge security detail in an NTV/Daily Monitor Panorama investigative story.

“If there was a way of getting extra security I would go for it because people are after me. You find some bad people conning people in my names. Every time people come to me complaining,” Bryan White lamented during the NTV interview that aired over the weekend.

The socialite was under fire for moving with Counter Terrorism security officers as his guards yet he’s not a top political or government official. He, however, explained that it is because of his celebrity status that he has been forced to widen his security detail.

“It’s hard for me to even go to the supermarket. When I get out I get lots of problems. People swing me around. At my gate I can’t get out because people are always there waiting for me. So I have to request for patrol if am going somewhere so as to clear the way,” he explained.

Bryan White is lifted by followers after he was granted bail.

Bryan White, real names Brian Kirumira explains that he got this security detail legally and should not be thought of as one of those people who bribe their way into getting security guards from police.

“I wrote to the people who were concerned and requested for extra security detail. I wrote to the DPC (District Police Commander), who took the letter to the RPC (Regional Police Commander). He confirmed and they gave me those people,” Bryan White said.

He added that it has become hard for him to move anywhere because people always block the roads and demand that he gives them money.

“Recently I was going to my village in Mityana but when we reached Ndeeba we found the road closed because people wanted me to talk to them first. So I had to get out of the car in the middle of the road to first talk to them. So it becomes easier for me when those people (Police patrol) clear the road but it’s not a privilege,” Bryan White said, adding that, “Sometimes u call to ask for extra security and they say ‘We are busy and can’t send you people to protect you’. So I stay home.”

He also said that he does not like the fact that his movements are being restricted but it’s something he has to bear with.

He said; “I would love to be a normal person because am not used to this kind of life but am forced.”

We, however, wonder why Bryan White is regretting his newly found celeb status when it’s something he clearly chose, not forgetting that he has injected a lot of money in this. The man even paid musicians to release a song about him titled Kilimanyi.
