It is on record that David Lutalo was the first Ugandan artiste to fill up Lugogo Cricket Oval during his Wololo Concert but it looks like his success did not please all.
A Masaka businessman who prefers to be called Munamasaka has lashed out at David Lutalo.
Apparently, the two had an agreement with the musician to sell him some of the concerts outside Kampala as a way of paying back for the financial help he offered to shoot the Wololo video in Nairobi.
Munamasaka claims that Lutalo instead decided to sell the concerts to Balaam. He wanted to be in charge of the Luweero and Mubende shows, but Lutalo played hide and seek.
On realising that the artiste had played him, Munamasaka confiscated Lutalo’s Harrier car, mbu. When we reached Lutalo, he denied any misunderstanding with Munamasaka. “For the time I have known Munamasaka, he is a good guy who is perhaps being used by someone else”. Whatever the story, if you happen to come across Lutalo on a boda, be humble and just wave.
