Cassper Nyovest is coming to Uganda but who is he?

South African Hip Hop artiste Cassper Nyovest is jetting into the country tomorrow morning ahead of the MTN full moon party at Garden city later on and before we receive him, Sqoop gives an insight about the artiste.

On December 2nd 2017, Cassper Nyovest made history in Africa by filling up one of the biggest stadiums down in South Africa.

The musician got an overwhelming 68,000 people attending his concert at the FNB stadium. The stadium’s capacity is 95,000. This topped his biggest concert at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto with 60,000 fans.

He came better to world acclaimed musicians such as Justin Bieber who received 58,896 people, Rihanna 67,291 and Lady Gaga with 56,900 people still in the same stadium.

Born Refiloe Maele Phoolo, Cassper Nyovest is a 28 year old is a recording artist and record producer and his debut album Tsholofelo was released on 18 July 2014. He is currently signed to his own independent label and media company, Family Tree.

He’s famed for songs such as ‘Doc Shebeleza’, ‘Mama I made it’, ‘Nyuku’ and ‘Top Shayela’, among others. He won his first set of awards in 2013 when scooped four awards at the second edition of the South African Hip Hop Awards.
