Makerere University students have gone to the polls today to elect their new guild president.
But before the voting started, the Vice Chancellor Prof Barnabas Nawangwe, through his twitter handle called on students to vote in peace.
“In a few minutes, the gallant Makerereans will go to the polls to elect their next Guild President. Gallant Makerereans, it is time to demonstrate that the top brains of Africa reside at Makerere Hill. Vote quietly and intelligently and make Mak greater!” the tweet reads.
