If you thought All-White parties are exclusive to Ugandan socialite Zari, well… think again. The Kenyan social scene was recently treated to a glamorous All-White affair that had many questioning who was behind the party.
The party organizer, however, shocked people as it turned out be none other than Nana Wanjiku Gecaga, a niece to Kenya President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Gecaga showed that you can turn 40 in style and pomp as she hosted friends and relatives in Malindi at the Lion in the Sun Resort, owned by Italian billionaire Flavio Briatore.
“You only turn 40 once and my goodness look at these beautiful @giuseppezanotti (Cruel Crystal Sandals) I got as a birthday gift every girls dream… ..they complete my birthday outfit for tonight… thank you sooooo much,” Gecaga posted on her social media.
Gecaga, who hired the services of renowned Make up artist, Kristeen Kuria for her face beat and hair, was stunning in a golden lace dress.
Her guests turned up wearing customized shirts with the words “Keep calm, Its Nana’s birthday.”
Gecaga is the Managing Director of the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC). In 2009, she was instrumental in securing the hosting of MTV Africa Music Awards in Nairobi.
