For the first time since Ugandan singer Moses Ssekibogo alias Mowzey Radio was laid to rest last Saturday in Kagga- Nakawuka, Wakiso District, his family members have come out to speak.

Mowzey’s two brothers; Meddie Ssembajja and Frank Ssekibogo have accused events promoter Balaam Barugahare and former Goodlyfe crew manager, Jeff Kiwanuka of trying to steal their brother’s property.

While addressing journalists at the home of Mowzey’s mother in Kagga-Nakawuka on Friday, Ssembajja and Ssekibogo said their lives were under threat and that they had learnt of plans to snatch Mowzey’s property.

“While at the mortuary after the late Mowzey’s death, Balaam told me that we should sell all our brother’s property ranging from cars, houses and other belongings and share the money with Jeff Kiwa ,” Ssekibogo said.

“When they found out that we were going to bury our brother in Kagga, they started staging men who said they were Mowzey’s fathers but they weren’t just because they wanted to take his body somewhere else,” Ssembajja said.

Efforts to get a comment from Balaam were futile as our repeated calls on his known telephone numbers went unanswered.

The family lauded President Museveni for his contribution towards the treatment and burial of Mowzey and socialite Bryan White who promised to complete the construction works on Mowzey’s mother’s house.

Mowzey Radio died on February 1 following a bar brawl in Entebbe on January 22 that left him into coma for 10 days before he breathed his last.
