When Sheila Don Zella announced that she was to hold her Gal Power party on the same day as Zari’s All White party, it was written off as a flop before it even took place. No one believed that a party held on the same day with a Zari event can be a success.
In fact earlier reports that came in on Thursday night suggested that Don Zella’s party was poorly attended. We however can reliably inform you that, just like Zari’s, the Don Zella party held at Club Play was a success. The guest of honor Hamisa Mobetto went to Social media and said the intended targets of the show were met.
“We wanted to fill the club, we wanted to collect enough money for charity, we wanted to enjoy ourselves and interact, we wanted to share life experiences, we got all that. What else can we ask for? Who is talking about a flop here? If that was a flop I would love to have more of the kind,” she wrote.
The event was graced by renown traditional herbalist Sylivia Namutebi alias Maama Fiina who said Don Zella stood by her side when she lost her husband. “I have attended Don Zella’s night because she stood by me when I lost my dear husband. She also sent me a condolence message in form of money”.
She also added that even though she only attended Don Zella’s party, she considers both the latter and Zari Hassan her daughters.
However guests were disappointed in the guest of honor, Mobetto, whom they had expected to entertain them. She simply sat to watch the revelers have a good time and kept her interaction minimal. While many were awed by how tall she is, others were wondering if she had forgotten the wide hips that she usually flaunts on social media in Tanzania. Some concluded that it looks like FACO also has a branch in Tanzania.

Although the party was women empowerment- themed, nothing of the like was reflected at the fete. Performances came in from King Saha.
