To be considered the best in the music industry, you need to win awards and this is what the Triplets Ghetto kids are doing to cement their top position as the best in Africa.

The Ugandan dancers were on Saturday awarded with the Best African Dancers accolade in the Afrikan Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) awards that happened in Dallas, Texas, beating other dance groups like Nigeria’s Kaffy Dancequeen and Korra Obidi, Nabile from South Africa, Sherrie Silver from Rwanda as well as Eddy Wizzy Dances from Uganda.

This is their first international award and it didn’t come as a surprise seeing that they have been so successful this year after featuring on French Montana and Swae Lee’s Unforgettable song. The song also helped them get their first BET stage performance a couple of months ago.

The triplets are the only Ugandans to have won in the AFRIMMA awards even though we had other Ugandan nominees like Bebe Cool, Eddy Kenzo and Navio.

Diamond Platinumz was voted the Best East African Male while Kenya’s Victoria Kimani took the Best Female East Africa.
