Sometime last year, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg was in Africa; Ghana, he even passed by Kenya, and we were excited. You cannot blame us. Now the rumour making rounds is that Zuckerberg might be in Uganda next month for a two-day conference. What may make this a little legit is probably the fact that the rich boy will be flown in by the organisers of Zimba Women, a two-day event meant to inspire Ugandan women in business. According to one of the organisers who preferred anonymity, if Zuckerberg does not make it, his CEO Sheryl Sandberg will represent but chances are very high he will be here. Zimba Women is an initiative that aims to promote the use of technology by women and other marginalised groups in the business arena.
