At this rate, it looks like all Nigerian artistes will have come to Uganda by the end of this year. Forget Wizkid and his drama and consider the thought of Timaya coming to Uganda after Tekno, Mr Eazi, Seyi Shay, Korede Bello, Iyanya, and others we cannot keep naming.
Word reaching us is that Timaya, famed for club bangers such as Sanko, I Like The Way, Dance, Bang Bang, Samakua, and many more will be in the country sometime later this year. The dancehall singer’s show will however be for charity, to help build a hospital in Uganda and unlike rumour that Suudiman is behind the deal, the actual man behind Timaya is David Kazoora.
It is said that Suudi is just the booking agent. “I have a big relationship with Timaya and I am his booking agent in East Africa,” Suudi said, adding that he was approached by Kazoora to get Timaya for a show in Kampala. On how much he was paid, all Suudi said was, “It is big money”.
Timaya first performed in Uganda in 2015 during the Club MegaFest event in Jinja as well as Resort Beach in Entebbe on the same weekend.
