Apparently, not so many people are pleased with the fact that Bobi Wine decided to fly to the United States yet there was a very important issue back home that put the whole country on its toes.
And among those people is Frank Gashumba, a businessman and father to socialite Shiella Gashumba.
“The day you were sworn in, thousands of your supporters escorted you to Parliament. Today, when the most controversial and quite stupid bill was supposed to be tabled in Parliament, you were nowhere to be seen. Even Hon. Micheal Kabaziguruka, who was sick managed to make it to the house, arriving on a stretcher to defend, preserve and protect the constitution
Today was a crucial day in the history of Ugandans and the thousands of people who voted for you and trusted in you. I am reliably informed that you are in New York doing God knows what. Hard to believe that even our chief Comedian Kato Lubwama was present and you were not. Why did you desert your constituency and it’s people when we needed you the most?” Gashumba wrote on his social media in regards to Bobi Wine’s missing in action.
However, Bobi Wine replied to him that he was invited by Bill and Melinda Gates for a conference which was attended by Barack Obama, the Canadian Prime Minister, The Norwegian Prime minister, The Indian Prime minister and many other world leaders.
“I was to represent Uganda and present a paper on democracy and governance; something I thought was so important to our struggle. We must remember that we need international alies if we are to dismantle this dictatorship. You will soon see the benefits of what we got from there. I had confirmed my attendance and indeed I managed to establish contacts that will be so useful to us very soon,” he said.
He also emphasized that he had gone to further the struggle and that everyone has been seeing his work.
We have not seen Gashumba’s reply to that yet.
