IyanyaWith  a of series of events that happened on the social scene over the weekend, there was one event that few people knew about yet it was actually a big deal.

A big deal because two Nigerian big artistes were performing in Uganda at the same stage.

Nigerian superstars Iyanya and Korede Bello performed at Cayenne lounge last Saturday and as expected of them, they really put up an excellent performance that left the ladies screaming. Weather it was because of Iyanya’s six packs or Korede Bello’s charming looks, we can’t really tell but the duo mesmerized Uganda’s slay-queens.

Dubbed “A Night with Mavin”, the event was opened up with performances from local artistes like Pryce Teeba and Ykee Benda before Mavins deejay, Flenzy took over the turntables. He played a host of top Nigerian songs, (not that he knows so much of Ugandan music anyway) but he was warming up the crowd for what they were to expect.

Korede Bello came on stage first and after the ladies had screamed their lungs out, he kicked off his performance and what better way to do that than ‘Godwin’, one of the best songs Ugandans have never gotten tired off. He then did others like ‘Romantic’, ‘Let him go’ and ‘Mungo Park’.

Then came the muscular Iyanya. He knows how to get the ladies worked and he did this by coming on stage with his buttons untied. This was so much for them to handle. He started off with his song ‘Oreo’ then jumped on to others like ‘Something’, ‘type of woman’ and ‘Kukere’, the most common to Ugandans most especially because of the dance strokes that come with it.

After his performance, the dance floor was opened for party goers to dance the night away.
