Thousands of people gathered around the Parliament of Uganda to witness the swearing in ceremony of musician Bobi Wine who is also the newly elected Kyadondo East Member of Parliament.

When asked what he’s expected to do after swearing in, Bobi Wine, real names Robert Kyagulanyi promised to address people’s issues in Parliament.

“We have always said that Parliament doesn’t want to come to the ghetto people but with me in parliament, the ghetto has come to parliament,” he said.

That aside, his wife Barbie Kyagulanyi said that she expects her new member of parliament to work as he promised and represent the people who sent him to parliament. She also added that Bobi Wine should not only stop at representing the people but he should also report back to them.
