Sheeba and Lydia Jazmine speak out on their Coke studio experience

Sheebah Karungi and Lydia Jazmine are in Kenya to participate in the recording of Coke Studio Africa -2017. While Sheebah is making her debut on the show this year, Lydia is making her big return on the show – after being on the show’s Big Break segment last year performing alongside Bahati (Kenya) and Kiss Daniel (Nigeria). But the excitement both artistes had could not go without being noticed.

During a press conference held at the Stanley Hotel where Sheebah and Lydia Jazmine along with other artistes were unveiled, Sheeba announced that her dream is to be the biggest super star she can ever be and with debut at the coke studio, she feels she is achieving that dream. “My dream is to be the biggest super star I can ever be. Being on Coke Studio Africa this year is one of the things that make me feel like am on my way now,” adding, that “Africa is recognising me and I am happy to be working with talented producers and musicians. I am going to use this opportunity to do everything I can to go to the next level. I’m looking forward to knowing everybody and Africa knowing me.” She said.

Meanwhile Lydia Jazmine said that she lacked the words to express the experience despite this being her second time at the studio. “I am blessed to be back, I lack the words to express the experience because It is more than just amazing! It is the biggest African stage we have and every artist would love to be on the stage. As Lydia Jazmine, I was one of the big break artistes last year. Since then my life has never been the same – my career back home boomed! Everyone is now looking at me in a different way and my music is up there!” She said.
Sheebah and Lydia are among Uganda artists on this year’s show. The others include Bebe Cool and Eddy Kenzo. All the music they create on the show will be performed and recorded live alongside Coke Studio’s highly talented house band.
