Nigerian singers Korode Bello was in town last weekend for the Night with the Mavins. What was confusing though was that the night with the Mavins only had Korede Bello and another Nigerian artiste, Iyanya, who is not a member of Mavin Records.
For starters, Mavin is a Nigerian music group which consists of artistes Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Dija, Raekado Banks, Korede Bello, Dr Sid and D’prince and they are popular for their song titled Dorobucci.
At the beginning of the year, we reported in these pages that the crew was coming to Uganda, only for Bello to come solo. Sources close to the organisers of the show, however, explained that the problem was with the promoter. “Mavin confirmed coming to Uganda in October this year but the promoter could not wait and so he brought in Korede Bello with Iyanya but the entire crew will be coming in October,” our source said.
Details of their show in Uganda were not availed but it is said they could go to Cricket Oval.
