Whatever is happening to Ugandan businessmen who also double as socialites is really worrying.
First it was the late Ivan Semwanga who died mysteriously after spending two weeks in a coma. Then a week or so ago SK Mbuga was involved in a nasty accident near his home in Buziga that left both his legs and one arm broken. And the latest is that Cameroon Gitawo is also admitted in a hospital in Durban after his pressure levels shot up.
We have learnt that Gitawo who belongs to The Money Team (TMT) group was coming from an event known as Durban Festival along with his other friends Meddie Ssentongo and Fred Ssekyanja when the pressure levels shot up.
It is said that they were travelling by road. The long distance travel plus the numerous alcohol bottles they consumed while at the event is said to have raised his pressure.
He’s currently admitted at the a private hospital called Hillcrest in Durban. It’s a relief to know though, that doctors announced that he’s out of danger and might be discharged in two days’ time. He is still undergoing supervision.
Gitawo is one of the Ugandans based in South Africa whose business ventures are still unknown but he claims to be involved in the business of selling cars.
He’s also one of the members in TMT which was a rival camp to the late Ivan Semwanga’s Rich Gang.
