Politicians are broke people, I’ll die an artist- Bebe Cool

It should come as no surprise that Bebe Cool is not in support of Bobi Wine’s political move. It has been no public secret that Bobi Wine and Bebe Cool are not friends at all. So we were not shocked when he told Douglas and all those watching the NTV’s The Beat that he will not be part of Bobi Wine’s campaign trail. When asked if as an artiste he would back and support Bobi Wine in his search for votes to represent the people of Kyadondo East, Bebe didn’t mince his words at all.

“Its good Bobi Wine joined politics, it will prove to people that artistes too can impact society and cause change but I am an NRM supporter that’s why I can’t be on Bobi Wine’s campaign trail. I only campaign for the President not the whole NRM party,” he said.

Asked if he would one day ever consider joining politics, the singer said, “I won’t join politics, politicians are broke people. Artistes that join politics don’t have music at heart; they joined to sing, get rich and leave, not because they loved music. After I reach 50 years I’ll retire to reggae music, that’s my fall back plan but I’ll die an artiste not a politician.”
