Being on radio for 20 years is not an easy thing. In fact, few people have achieved that milestone, Alex Ndawula being one of the few. He has been at the helm of Capital Radio for over 20 years.
However, Ndawula was sent off yesterday into late retirement and the Kisementi based station did it with a bang.
Ndawula was given a brand new Toyota Prado car and a cash contribution of Shs30m as his retirement package.
All this was given to him at a farewell party organized for him at the company premises in the gardens which was attended by musicians like Chameleone.
Alex Ndawula, who has been the longest serving employee at Capital FM last presented his programmes three weeks back and the times when they were running, that is 8pm till late (“Dance Force) and 6-7pm(Sundowner ) have just had music playing the last few weeks.
