Being in the game for over 40 years is not easy at all but Afrigo Band has successfully been doing music much longer than that, performing at big events and having weekly shows at their home –Obligato, former little flowers.
It is at this place a few days back that they also held a special night where they recognized certain companies who have been with them during this incredible journey.
The special cocktail party was also meant to celebrate their return to the place where this journey started 42 years back.
“This was our first home about forty two years ago when we had just started. We are happy to be back here and celebrate with you, said Moses Matovu. “We also want to thank you for standing with us through these years.” He added.
The invited guests got to enjoy music from the band which was playing in the background and most were seen grooving to the timeless jams as they sipped on cold drinks, interacted and ate on snacks that were served from time to time.
The sponsors were handed certificates of recognition while others were given mentions as well.
The press including Daily monitor were praised for always being there for the band for all these years and encouraged them to keep doing what they have always done.
Apart from Rachael Magoola, all the other band members were at the cocktail party including; Joanita Kawalya, Rude Boy Devo, Joe Tabula and Ssewanyana among others.
