It is never easy to hold a first concert. We have seen numerous artistes push their show dates, and some never actually living up to them. And it seems like it is the same road Rema Namakula is taking – not her call though.
A few days ago, Hotel Africana management told the Muchuzi singer to shift her show from where events are always staged to the poolside and the explanation she was given was that there has been a lot of noise pollution which affects the nearby newly-opened Speke apartments.
Rema couldn’t hear of this because she had already paid almost all the amount she was asked for and secondly time is against her as the concert is just a month away.
According to the hotel management, the poolside somehow contains the sound which cannot inconvenience the guests but the challenge is it cannot accommodate the number of people Rema anticipates. Wonder what it will be for the singer! Settle for the poolside or push dates again?
