Flavia Tumusiime has all reason to smile because… she is smiling all the way to the bank. Why, you ask? Well, the latest we have gathered is that the NTV anchor has signed a deal with Private Education Development Network (PEDN) and USAID as the ambassador of a campaign called Girl Rising.
Girl Rising, which is a campaign to send 50 Ugandan girls back to school was launched last week with a short documentary that was officially premiered at Century Cinemax at Acacia Mall. Among the things Flavia will be responsible for is talking to different girls and inspiring them about the good things that come with education. Our efforts to reach the ambassador for a comment about her new role were futile as she failed to pick up her call. But all the same, we will congratulate her and wish her the best.
