Musicians, especially in Uganda, are not known to engage themselves in charity drives. Even when they do, it is for showbiz. Rapper Mun-G is taking the lead and has pledged to support the improvement of KCCA-managed primary schools, by promising to take part in this Sunday’s NSSF Kampala 7 Hills Run. Mun-G says he decided to jump onto the opportunity because it is for a good cause. “When we got a request to be part of this initiative, we didn’t think twice because it gives us a chance to help out children in schools that lack the necessary sanitary facilities,” Mun-G told us. “I will also perform for the runners to keep them entertained.” The Kampala 7 Hills Run has already attracted top athletes, including former women’s 3000m steeplechase world and Commonwealth Games champion Dorcus Inzikuru and Rio’s Summer Paralympic Games medalist David Emong. The run, whose purpose is to collect Shs200m will start and finish at Pearl Africa Primary School, Nsambya.
