Singer Beyoncé surprised the world on Wednesday afternoon when she revealed that she is pregnant with twins.
The singer made the revelation on her Instagram page where she shared a photo of herself showing off a baby bump. She revealed that her family, “The Carters” will be growing by two.
“We would like to share our love and happiness; we have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. – The Carters,” read her post.
Within a few hours, Beyoncé’s’ post had received more than 6.4 million likes, leading to internet’s speculation that her picture has become the most liked on Instagram. What is even more interesting is the way her picture has attracted a number of memes as people posted pictures of themselves posing exactly like the singer. One had a man holding his rather flat tummy and a towel draped over his head. Another had a picture of two young boys who look like twins and would very easily pass for Jay Z’s sons.
This is the celebrity couple’s second pregnancy. Their first child, Blue Ivy Carter was born on January 7, 2012.
Beyoncé is famously opposed to interviews and known for rarely discussing her personal life without setting the terms. There has been speculation on how the couple’s relationship has been with the rumour mill talking of infidelity among other things, especially after the fight her sister Solange had with Jay Z in a life which video was posted on the Internet. Her latest album Lemonade, whose lyrics which ranged from heartbroken to defiant to forgiving were interpreted as a sign of what was happening in their marriage although the couple never said anything about it.
Now with the singer’s recent news, speculation is that things seem to be going well for the couple.
