While many people were busy noting down their resolutions for the new year, one entity that had its itinerary neatly cut out was Sheraton Hotel.
The hotel is celebrating 50 years of operation in Uganda under the theme ‘The party of Decades’. The hotel management ushered in the new year in style by hosting different stakeholders, including clients, associates, media to the best of both local and international cuisines.
There were also performances from Janzi Band and a host of other popular entertainment acts that made the date at Paradise Restaurant & The Kyoga Poolside a memorable experience.
Sheraton Hotel’s general manager Jean Philippe Bittencourt said the hotel has planned different activities this year in commemoration of 50 years throughout the year.
The hotel unveiled a special commemorative billboard on the Sheraton building. Bittencourt revealed that 2017 is going to be a special year in the history of the hospitality industry in Uganda. He intimated that there is a lot in store for the hotel’s clientele this year.
As part of the activities to celebrate the 50 years, a teaser video was played showing the changing faces of the hotel.
