Irene Ntale dominated news last week after she threw in the towel at Swangz Avenue, ending her four-year stay with the company that nurtured her into the artiste she is now. But we have also learnt that she’s not the only important key figure to have left.
We also found out that Big Nash, real names Nathan Tusubira, a household name behind many hit songs at Swangz had left the studio about five months ago.
Big Nash became the main producer at Swangz when Benon switched all his attention to producing and mixing adverts and during that time he did a number of hits such as “Kankunganye” by Goodlyfe and Mun G, Lilian Mbabazi’s “Kuuma Obudde”, Irene and Bebe Cool’s “Love letter” and Winnie Nwagi’s “Embera”.
Apparently, Nash’s quitting has everything to do with Irene Ntale. According to our source, Nash, on the day Ntale held her “Date Night concert” at Sheraton Hotel, was not commended for all the work he had done for Irene as an artiste, and for Swangz as a company.
“Everyone else was credited for the good work apart from him. Yet he thinks he has contributed a lot for Irene and Swangz as a whole. He felt betrayed and decided to find some other place where he’s respected,” our source said.
It is for this reason that Nash decided to join Deuces entertainment with Atlas Da African as his responsibility.
