ASFAs glamour: The theme was ‘Bring fashion to the Asfas’ and fashion did Kampala and Africa bring to this year’s Abryanz fashion awards. So many outfits stood out and so many people slayed. But here are three of our favourite.
It was definitely a fashion experience to remember as the rest of Africa joined Uganda, in a celebration at the Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards 2016 (Asfas).
There was no shortage of style, red carpet oomph and elegance at the 4th edition of the awards ceremony. So I am sure you can imagine how hard it might have been to zero down on the three top looks that killed it at the ceremony.
So in no particular order, these were the top three dresses, that killed it for me on the red carpet.
Desire Luzinda.
Even with her adorable daughter as her date, it was impossible to take all the attention away from the music star. She was the epitome of elegance and sophistication in her gorgeous sheer panel gown.
Word on the street is that every Kampala girl is on the hunt to find out the designer of that number! And it was no wonder the starlet was awarded the best dressed celebrity for 2016.
Natasha Sinayobye
With so much skin on show during the evening, Natasha’s Cinderella ball gown was a breath of fresh air. The pretty lady stepped out in a custom made Beryl Qouture gown, and her short hair do and minimal makeup were all the accessories she needed.
Hellena Ngaifiwa
The Namibian media personality was hosting the Social Media Hub at the Asfas and host she did! Ngaifiwa showed us how to make a red carpet entrance in a floor length back plunge gown. Her infectious smile coupled with her gown definitely had our attention all evening.
Fashion at the asfas!
This year’s Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards saw lots of people bringing their A-game! Although there was lots of skin on show, many actually put
effort in their outfits. The common look was the side splits and ballroom gowns. There was lace too and most men stepped out in three-piece suits.
